Glamour Photoshoot { Alina, Calgary, Alberta }

Recently, I had the opportunity to collaborate with a gorgeous model (Alina Cox) and one of my favorite hair & makeup artists (Crystal Cruz). With a dream time like that, you can bet we came out of the day with a gazillion gorgeous photos! Here’s a few I’ve selected for the blog. { The Lovely Jennifer: Boudoir Session }

This lovely lady is a good friend of mine and fellow photographer, and I was lucky enough to have her be one of the first to grace my new boudoir studio with her gorgeousness!

Jenn had wanted to surprise her wonderful hubby with boudoir photos for awhile, and I’m so happy she did – we had an absolute blast shopping for her outfits, and even more fun during her actual shoot! Jenn is absolutely gorgeous and I loved how she incorporated her hubby’s surfboard and a bikini into the session – boudoir is much, much more than just lingerie!

Hair & makeup completed her look perfectly, provided by the lovely Shayne of www.beautifulbyshayne.com.

Huge thanks to this darling for allowing me to post not only a couple of her photos, but an entire blog post (obviously we keep your boudoir sessions 100% private unless you give explicit permission that it can be shared). We couldn’t have had a better model to show off our new studio in action!

Personal / Motivational Photoshoot { Jill, Confederation Park & Baker Park, Calgary AB }

I was super happy when Jill messaged me to see if I’d be interested in shooting some motivational, personal portraits for her. I loved the idea from the very start!

She’s been on a personal journey to lose weight, become more active and eat well, but what really stirred up this awesome idea in her mind was the fact that in the coming weeks, she will be kicking up her journey into high-gear and starting to work with a personal trainer! We discussed shooting some portraits now to serve as the “before” visuals, then portraits in 6 months time, then again in a year to show all of the amazing progress I know she is going to make.

We decided to use some fun props for her shoot to help bring to life her goals, what she has achieved so far that she should be proud of, and how she will positively approach her journey moving forward. Didn’t she do the best job on her adorable motivational signs ?!

If you’d like to follow Jill’s journey and follow her progress, you can visit her blog, or follow her on Twitter.

The “Keep Going” message was something AWESOME that we randomly stumbled across while wandering down the river paths at Baker Park. Who wrote it or when, we have no idea, but it was absolutely and perfectly fitting for the photos we were there to create!
